O estudo cl�nico, dirigido por Sebasti�o Radominski, m�dico
reumatologista do Hospital de Cl�nicas da UFPR, ser� voltado �
Artrose e visar� comparar dois medicamentos que protegem a
cartilagem (chamados de condroprotetores).<br>
<br>
Os interessados, que desejarem candidatar-se � pesquisa, dever�o
preencher os seguintes requisitos:<br>
<br>
� Ambos os sexos;<br>
<br>
� Idade acima dos 40 anos;<br>
<br>
� Alfabetizados;<br>
<br>
� Com <strong><u>artrose de joelho comprovada por exame radiol�gico</u></strong>
(Raio X);<br>
<br>
� E que tenham apresentado sintomas de dor moderada � grave nos
�ltimos seis meses.<br>
<br>

A ARTROSE<br>
<br>
� uma doen�a degenerativa da cartilagem articular, desgastando-a.
Entre todas as doen�as reum�ticas, � a mais comum. Pode causar dor e
rigidez nas articula�es e na coluna, e at� mesmo limita��o de
movimentos, causando, consequentemente, grande impacto na qualidade
de vida e capacidade laborativa do acometido.<br>

Surge geralmente entre os quarenta e cinquenta anos, e � duas vezes
mais frequente entre o sexo feminino. Manifesta-se no esqueleto
axial (coluna), afetando v�rtebras e podendo causar rea�es �sseas.
Em discos invertebrais podem resultar, em alguns casos, em
dores terr�veis e incapacidades, necessitando de tratamento
cir�rgico. Nas articula�es perif�ricas (joelhos, quadris e m�os)
desgastam a cartilagem, causam dores cr�nicas e rigidez. Tamb�m
limita os movimentos, incapacitando a pessoa de executar atividades
como subir e descer escadas ou rampas.<br>

N�o h� tratamento espec�fico e nem cura, mas para tentativa de
controle da artrose, orienta-se a redu��o de peso, redu��o de
impacto sobre as articula�es e medidas posturais e fisioter�picas
para a coluna, al�m de analg�sicos e anti-inflamat�rios contra a dor
e glicosamina, condroitina e outros para uma poss�vel interrup��o no
desgaste da cartilagem.<br>

tratamento de artrose nos joelhos,pois minha m�e tem artrose e
n�o esta mais conseguindo andar direito por causa das dores
que s�o muitas ela tem 77 anos de idade e j� esta assim a mais
de 7anos com dores e a cada dia esta piorando mais,ela anda so
com apoio de bengalas ou se tiver algo pra se segurar,tipo
barede ou mesa esse tipo de coisas, j� fez raioX e foi
comprovado artrose nos joelhos D e E<br>
N�s moramos em S�o Jos� dos Pinhais e minha m�e trabalhou
muito em agricultura e vimos um reportagem que falava sobre
isso,mas tentei ligar eo telefone que foi passado na
reportagem n�o atende so cai na caixa postal.<br>
