<p style="text-align: justify;">As gl�ndulas mucosas (gl�ndulas de
Naboth) no colo uterino podem ficar cheias de secre��o devido
ao bloqueio no ducto ou passagem da gl�ndula. Conforme as secre�es
se acumulam, um n�dulo arredondado e liso pode se formar sob a
superf�cie do colo do �tero e se tornar grande o suficiente para ser
visto ou sentido durante um exame. Cada cisto aparece como uma
eleva��o pequena e branca, como uma p�stula. Os cistos podem ocorrer
isoladamente ou em grupos e, embora n�o sejam uma amea�a � sa�de,
s�o indicativos de infec��o passada ou recente ou de irrita��o no
colo do �tero. Os cistos s�o mais comuns em mulheres em idade
reprodutiva, especialmente naquelas que j� tiveram filhos.<span id="more-11422"></span></p>
