incentivo e ajuda das m�es que, na totalidade dos casos, tamb�m
sofreram a mesma viol�ncia, mas se orgulham de t�-la sofrido.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">N�o � dif�cil imaginar a dor que as
meninas sofrem, o risco de hemorragias e de infec�es que elas est�o
sujeitas. Muitas morrem nos primeiros dias ap�s a mutila��o,
geralmente de hemorragias ou infec�es, ou ent�o de combina��o de
ambas. Muitas outras morrem alguns meses ou anos ap�s, v�timas de
depress�o severa que, se n�o mata de inani��o, desnutri��o e
debilidade geral, as leva ao suic�dio.</p>
